Registration, Refund & General Policies

Registration:
Please register early!

Some programs have a maximum enrollment and fill quickly. Others have a minimum enrollment which must be met at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program to avoid cancellation. We will make every effort to notify you if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment.
If the program is full, please add yourself (child) to the waitlist. When/if a spot opens, we will notify the next person on the list.

Refunds:

There are no refunds issued once you are registered for a program. Refunds will only be issued if a program is cancelled for lack of enrollment, or for a verifiable injury (doctors note required).

Notification Policy

You will receive confirmation of program registration provided we have a current e-mail address on file for your Household Account. Plan to arrive for your program at the scheduled date and time unless otherwise notified.
Weather Cancellations and Building Closures
The Harwich Recreation Department prioritizes safety during inclement weather or
emergencies. Staff will make every effort to communicate with participants via email, text
and social media regarding cancellations or closures. Generally, if a building is closed, all
activities scheduled within that building will also be canceled.

Photography, Audio, and Video Recording Policy

Participants in programs and activities offered by the Harwich Recreation Department may be photographed, recorded via audio, or filmed for purposes including but not limited to documentation, promotional materials, social media, and safety. This policy applies to all participants. Individuals who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must submit a written request to opt out to the Harwich Recreation Department prior to participation.

Payment:

Full payment must accompany all registrations. We accept cash, credit cards, and checks.
Make checks payable to: “Town of Harwich”
There is a $25 service fee for all returned checks.
