After School, Spring registration will open on March 2nd. 50% deposit due. Final payment due on April 11th, prior to the start of session.
Harwich Recreation's After School Program is for Harwich Elementary School (HES) Families/Students in grades 1st – 4th. This includes Harwich residents as well as Monomoy Choice students attending Harwich Elementary. Please note, the program is not accredited and therefore we are unable to provide individualized plans for students.
After-School is a fun and engaging program running Monday-Friday, including early release days. Kids will enjoy a variety of crafts, games, and activities in a safe and supportive environment, making it a great way to unwind and stay active after school.

After School Details
- Hours: After School - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday
- $15/day
- Includes Early Release Wednesdays
- Excludes half days, in-service days, school vacation/holidays; early dismissals due to weather, weather cancellations days; situations outside of our control (i.e., building closure) etc.
- Bus Transportation from HES to the Community Center (CC), 100 Oak Street is included.
- Based on Monomoy Regional School District School Calendar 2025 - 2026
- After School Program utilizes The CC gymnasium, Room 3 at CC, CC fields and Brooks Park playground.
- Enrollment Priority: Prior semester enrolled After School Families; Harwich Families; Monomoy School Choice Families.
- Contact the Office if you need assistance with budgeting to help meet your financial obligation.
- We are not a voucher program. Nonpayment of fees will result in removal from the program. No refunds will be given if a child is terminated from the program for disciplinary reasons.
- Schedule Changes/Notifications: The child’s schedule is to be established at the time of initial registration. Changes in the schedule are subject to space availability and only allowed on an emergency basis. Due to staffing schedules, we may not be able to accommodate one-time changes and a fee will be assessed.
- Late Pick-Up Fee: The After School program closes at 5:00 PM. If a Parent/Guardian fails to pick up their child/ren before the close of the program, they will be charged a late fee. The late fee is $10.00 per fifteen (15) minutes, or portion thereof intervals. Excessive late fees will result in termination from the program. Please call the office (before 4:30 pm) if you know you are running late.
- Refunds: Prior to the start of the program fee: 100%; 1st week: Full refund of program fee less a $50 administrative charge; 2nd week: 75% refund of program fee less 25% administrative charge. No refund after the second week of the session. No allowances for sick days.
