Join our team as a Lifeguard and help ensure the safety of Harwich beachgoers! We're looking for responsible individuals, with strong swimming skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. This certification class is a perquisite to becoming a lifeguard.

Everyone who signs up to take this class must agree to work for Harwich Recreation as a lifeguard. Those who are looking for a certification class for employment elsewhere will not be accepted.

Ages 16+

Application

Pay Rates: $18.78-19.86

Certification Schedule
Friday June 20th - Monday June 23rd
8:30am-5:00pm

Employment Duration
June 28th - September 1st
(accommodations can be made for those who need to leave early for school or sports)

Responsibilities

Monitoring swimmers,
Enforcing safety regulations
Responding to emergencies

Requirements

Ability to work weekends
Intermediate to Advanced Swimming ability
Good Communication skills and ability to work well with others
